What we do

We collect the rules and costs families actually need when arranging long-term care, and we publish them with sources and review dates.

Who we are not

We are not a government agency, a healthcare provider, a licensed placement or referral agency under California CCR Title 22 or Florida Stat. 429.195. We do not charge families and we do not accept payment to place anyone into a facility.

How this site is written

• Written and maintained by the Home Care Math editorial desk — an independent publishing desk, not a clinic and not an agency.
• Every figure must trace to an official document or a published survey with a stated methodology, and each one carries the date we last checked it. See methodology and sources.
• We have not retained a named clinical reviewer. Because of that we do not publish medical advice, and we say so instead of borrowing someone else's credentials. If a qualified reviewer is retained, their name and credentials will appear here and on the pages they review.
• Nothing on this site is legal, medical or financial advice.

Corrections and questions

If a figure is wrong or out of date, tell us. We fix it and move the review date.

Please do not send medical records, Social Security numbers or account details — we do not want them and we delete them.
